Design an information system to improve health at work
During this project we received the assignment to create a feedback system for at work combining a physical device with an app. For this project our focus was on meal deliverers, as many meal deliverers are involved in traffic accidents each year.

Vision
As mentioned, each day many meal deliverers are involved in traffic accidents. To solve this problem a digital health information system for meal deliverers was developed to prevent accidents during working hours. The product consists of a physical device and a complementary app. The system is based on a behavioural system that generates rewards for people that show good behaviour.
Functionality
Ideation
During the ideation phase a brainstorm was performed to come up with as many possible ideas to solve the issue. Eventually this led to a device that is attached to the bike of deliverers so they would have immediate feedback when they are delivering.
Prototyping
Rapid Prototyping
As this was a short project, focus was laid on creating a lot of lo-fi prototypes and validating them. Incorporating these sprints led to a quick development of the product and gave valuable insights into how to optimizing it.
Prototypes
User Interface
To provide users a quick and simple layout on the physical device that wouldn't distract. A simple circle indicates all the good and riskful behaviours users can have. This circle is mapped to the IMU in the device to give real-time feedback.
User Experience
To avoid users constantly looking at the screen, haptics were implemented and tested with users. Because of the metal frame most bikes have, vibrations would resonate through the handle bars and notify users.
Application
App
In addition to the physical device and the lo-fi prototypes, hi-fi prototypes were created based on wireframes. In this application the reward system is highlighted and focus was laid on ease of use and clarity.
